The Demon Of Nithari Village

The gruesome killing of small children in the Nithari village of Noida has send a wave of shock throughout the country. The dead remains of small kids dug out from the bungalow of Mohinder Singh Pandher reveals the inhumane nature of human beings.
This incidence has thrown light on the shortcomings of not only the police administration but also the media. On its part the police did not take timely action against the complain of disappearing children of nithari village which resulted in the death of thirty Innocent kids.
We all are aware of the lackadaisical attitude of Indian police and specially that of UP and BIHAR. On its part the media did not take up the case at appropriate time. Had the media highlighted this case two years back, when the children had started disappearing, the administration would have surely sprung into action on time to save the life of those Innocent children.
The problem with this issue was that it was neither a case of any high profile personality nor was there any pressure on the police from any strata of the society. How active police can be in solving these two types of cases can be revealed from the case of Anant, the child of Adobe India CEO, who was kidnapped a few months ago. The wide media coverage and the position of Mr. Gupta (Anant's father) brought him back home in few days. This incidence shows that our police force is competent enough to solve any case, the only thing that they need is a driving force. But can't they work without these forces ?
Now when the Nithari issue has become the headline of every newspaper and channels, the political parties are trying to bake their own cake. I wonder what difference their visit would make. The UP government has announced an ex Gratia of 5 lakhs to the family members of the deceased and has suspended few officers of that area. Now when the UP Assembly election is nearing these acts would surely help the government in gaining the voters sympathy. But what about the weeping parents and the frightened kids of Nithari village. Who would bring the smile back on their face ?
A proper co-ordination between the administration, media and citizens would only prevent the re-occurrence of such types of incidence. The police should take timely action on every trifle complaints. The media instead of running after hot and spicy news for their Page3 should be aware of their roles and should bring such types of news on the national canvas as soon as possible. The citizens on the other hand should not hesitate in approaching the police as well as media. A proper co-ordination among these three pillars of the society would only help to keep the anti-social elements at bay and would make this world a beautiful place to live.
