KYA IDEA HAI SIR JEE

This post refers to Idea's cellular advertisement. They use to advertise their service with a social message hidden within it. If we remember their previous ad it was related to normalising the communal tension in a village. The Bhumihars (an upper cast) and the Kurmis (a lower cast) were fighting among themselves. When the matter came to panchayat the sarpanch's phone rang and he clicked with an idea of referring the person with their phone numbers and not with their names. This idea solved their problem as the name which was the root behind the problem was abolished. "GREAT IDEA". Their latest offering is to provide education to the rural children using mobile. An elderly person comes with his grand-daughter to admit in English medium school but the seat is already full. Principal is worried by seeing this and thinks how to accommodate these children in his school. Suddenly an idea clicks him and he use the mode of distance education using mobile phone to provide education. Not only this Laxmi Raghav the face of rural children was awarded the best student of the year. Thanks to the idea mobile. A great way of marketing using the current social problem that India is facing at present. Surely this ad must have touched the heart of millions. A great way to bring forward a social message but will this help in selling a product. Neither will any one use their mobile to provide distance education nor will they use it to replace their name. Major customer base of mobile is the youth and the product ad should be targeted towards them. Surely its a great entertaining ad but lets hope that it also helps in selling the product. But yes hats off to the man behind the concept of " Kya Idea hai Sir Jee"
